Trees & Power Lines
We often take for granted overhead utility lines. They carry our electricity, communications and data from place to place. As a tree care company, we get plenty of calls that deal with removing intersecting branches that are conflicting with power-lines. Although to the naked eye, power-lines appear plain as day, they are extremely dangerous. When combined with rubbing branches or an overgrowing tree can make for disaster.
When homeowners or developers plant tall trees near or underneath these power-lines, in the future they will need to be pruned or trimmed. This is done to keep them at a safe distance away from the power lines so as to avoid any kinds of service interruptions or public safety hazards.
Adults or children climbing trees that intersect with these lines can be killed or seriously injured if they come in contact so it’s very important that periodic tree pruning is done regularly to limit liability in every way possible.
