Why are trees valuable?
The amount of reasons trees is valuable are endless, they are the cornerstone to life on the planet earth. Trees are our strongest ally in the fight against climate change, and global warming. Trees absorb massive amounts of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and redistribute it into the air as clean oxygen for all of life to thrive. Trees provide plentiful amounts of shade as well which cools down temperatures everywhere. The shade caused by trees can cut the temperature by up to 10% this is extremely valuable when considering energy rates in your home.
In fact, residential areas that have plenty of shade from trees tend to experience up to a 45% drop in energy rates compared to those without them. Trees also prevent the evaporation of water from soil. This is because the shade allows water to sit for longer periods of time. Additionally, trees act as powerful barriers that prevent runoff, and inspire reintegration of water back into the earth. This runoff issue also creates the problem of soil erosion, and can be harmful; to the environment. This is why trees keep our ground healthy in dense areas. Trees are quite possibly the most valuable thing we have on the earth and deserve their spot in history as symbols of life.
