Trees in Mythology
One of the greatest legends is of The Whispering Oak of Dodona. This beautiful tree was first told of in Greek culture as one of the first creations of Zeus. The legend clearly states that the tree was not able to speak in any form humans could converse with. However, its branches and leaves would gleefully dance in the wind. Over the course of many Greek tales it is referenced with characters such as Achilles having visited the tree for wisdom.
The myth of the sky high tree tells the story of a young boy in Hungary who made it into the king’s garden unfound. He saw with his own eyes on the trees natural majesty and decided to climb it. The more and more he climbed the tree he realized he was ascending to a brand new level of life. The tree which went deep into the sky apparently housed churches, fortresses, and even open fields.
Trees have always been the subject of fantastic legends and myths over the years. This is because they naturally support all concepts of life, and prosperity. This is why trees will always add an extra layer of character to your home or business.
