Trees and Symbolism
Since the dawn of time trees have held a great deal of symbolism. Ancient cultures around the earth have left behind the legends of trees such as the Yggdrasil. Trees have always been thought of as the primary symbol of life, and health. The tallest trees on earth have been referred to as steps to heaven or to life after death.
They represent qualities of durability, and endurance. Its feet are sunken into the earth our home, and its crowned head rises high above us into the sky. This is how the ancients thought of trees. The bonsai tree is one of the more symbolic trees on the face of the earth. It is said that the bonsai tree represents meditation, harmony, and balance.
Even Cherry Trees are represented by reawakening’s and rebirthing ideas. Even when we think of foreign lands one of the first thoughts that come to mind are unique trees. Some believe that trees are extending an invitation to us to enjoy their natural energies. This is why trees make a fantastic addition to any property. They evoke feelings of peace, and thoughts of inquiry.
