Tree Stumps Are Ugly, Aren’t They?
Tree stumps are not the most attractive thing to see in your yard.
Thankfully there are a number of great options for turning said tree stump into
something more visually appealing. In some cases the tree stump is too obtuse
causing removal to be a poor option. Fortunately, turning these tree stumps
into art is a very easy option. If you have natural talent you can use carving
equipment and turn your stump into a small sculpture. Furthermore, the use of
paints can enhance the appearance of your sculpture to a whole new level. One
of the most common tree stump modifications is to turn a tree stump in your
front yard into a sign. Many homeowners will take this opportunity to create a
welcome home sign or something of that nature. The first step is to use sand
paper or thin blades/chisels to remove any bark that adorns the stump. Once the
stump is fully sculpted and painted a popular choice would be to surround the
stump with flowers, or other appealing plant life.
One of the more visually stimulating uses for a tree stump is to
utilize it in conjunction with another ornament. Oftentimes homeowners will
adopt a fountain on the top of there stump. This successfully covers up the
stump while adding much greater value to your home.
