Great Trees for Winter Animals
During the wintertime and colder months, specific animals may take refuge within trees or on tree branches for warmth or in an effort to hibernate. Rabbits, Voles, and Meadow Mice are common at ground level. Rabbits in particular can jump in the air and gnaw off parts of lower hanging tree limbs causing damage.
Deer can also damage your trees or landscape during the winter but they are not the most common. Putting up a fence around each of your trees to protect them is one method at deterring these pests during the wintertime so you have a trouble-free springtime.
