Water Is Miracle Food for Trees
When dry weather may continue for extended periods of times, water is the only solution to keep the tree from dying or withering away. The amount of water a tree may need fully depends on it’s age and exact species. However, one thing is for certain; All trees need water to survive and thrive.
It’s very important that newly planted trees receive appropriate amounts of water. Within the first couple of months that a tree is planted, the roots are still kept within the original root ball. Water can and will help them expand to the appropriate length so that your tree can grow and prosper.
When watering older, more established trees it’s always been a common myth to just water around the bottom of the canopy. However in reality, it’s roots extend far beyond the canopy so you should provide a nice amount of irrigation all around.
