Tree Pruning Tools
Tree pruning is the method of cutting limbs, and branches off of trees and shrubs to promote positive growth. The main limbs removed are those that are old, dying, sick, and broken. BY removing them early you can prevent damage to your landscape, and harm to those near it. Pruning inspires the production of healthy branches, and longer lifespans.
In order to prune trees there are multiple tools that are commonly used. Secateurs are also called hand pruners, and pruning shears. These tools range across different sizes for specific branch cuts. They are split up into Bypass Shears and Anvil Shears. The former has two cutting blades and operates very similarly to a pair of scissors. They are specifically used for cutting much thinner, more delicate branches. Anvil Shears are only equipped with one blade and are used for cutting much thicker, or harder branches.
Garden saws are commonly used for tree pruning as well. They are typically used because the teeth on the saw allows for the quick, and effortless cutting of more tough branches. All of these tools come in various sizes, lengths, and types. The amount of customization available to us today has allowed all arborists the ability to more perfect cuts.
