The Best Time to Plant Your Trees

- You can plant evergreen trees early in the spring up until a month after deciduous tree leaves have opened or in the fall from August 1stto October 31st.
Handling & Storing the Seedlings
- Never let the seedlings dry out. Making sure they have plenty of moisture is key to their survival.
- Be careful when you are transporting your seedlings. If you handle them too roughly, you can land up damaging the root system and this can dispose your seedlings to stress.
- Avoid extreme changes in temperature. When temperatures fluctuate, and especially high heat, during storage and transporting it can traumatize the seedling.
- You need to be prompt with your seedling planting. Don’t let them sit around. Get them into the soil as soon as possible. However, don’t open the bags until you are going to plant and always reseal as fast as you can.
- Do not handle the seedling by the stem. Always handle by the plug.
Site Preparation
