The right Amount of Water to Plant a Tree
Water is the great divider when it comes to planting trees properly or improperly. Too much water can be bad while too little can be disastrous. One simple way to ensure that trees grow properly is to make sure they have a lot of room to grow. Don’t place a large tree in a small area unless you have the time to provide intensive maintenance and care.
Good drainage is also very important when it comes to the soil bed where you’ll be planting the tree. The soil should be moist but not completely flooded with water so the tree can absorb the nutrients. What we would do is a soil test to ensure that the area is safe for planting. This involves checking the ph, and taking a soil sample. This will also allow us to figure out which fertilizer to utilize in order to spur the growth process.
