Pruning Trees Properly Makes for a Well Shaped Tree
Many people have this idea that mother nature takes care of everything, including the shape and natural growth progression of a tree. While this is true to an extent, most trees if left to they’re own devices will grow in strange, unmanageable ways. We are here to remedy the situation by proper tree pruning and trimming.
The most common reasons for tree pruning are to increase the health, beauty, aesthetics and structural integrity of a tree. However, the most common reason is to give it a better shape. Most people ask, “why do we prune trees?” Mostly its to remove dead or diseased branches, and remove crowded or rubbing limbs. Our pruning process includes many different methods:
Cleaning: This means that our arborist will remove dead, diseased, rubbing or crowded branches from your tree.
Thinning: We’ll selectively remove branches to increase air-flow and light penetration through the crown of the tree. Doing so helps to reduce structural stress on the tree.
Raising: We will remove lower branches from a tree to increase walkway space underneath it.
Reduction: We will trim the height of the tree. This is useful in situations where the branches may be growing too close to power lines.
