Tree Pruning Basics
Tree pruning is a need for all homeowners, and commercial property owners who want their locations to look beautiful. Trees naturally continue to grow for years, as growth occurs the need to manage that growth is apparent. Pruning is the use of various hand tools such as hand shears, and loppers in order to reduce the size of the trees crown. The crown is the head of branches at the very top of the tree trunk. Typically an arborist will use an extension ladder to safely reach the top of the tree and in some cases lifts, and scaffolding may be used. It’s important not to attempt tree pruning on your own for fear of damaging the crown. A damaged tree crown will have significant trouble absorbing vitamin d and receiving enough nutrients to thrive throughout the year.
The fact is trees are much more sensitive than humans. When a tree is damaged or hurt the wound is never healed. It simply grows itself over the wound concealing it. Unfortunately these wounds create easy openings for infestations, and disease to occur. Skilled arborists will be able to take care of all of your tree pruning needs with ease.
